Preparation for the Work Place Programme
This programme is designed to prepare young people for the world of work. The programme includes sessions which take individuals through the process of applying for a job position including identifying and understanding job advertisements, job application form completion, C.V writing, preparing for interview and an actual interview with a representative from the business community lasting on average 15 minutes. The interviews are carefully selected from the diverse range of businesses that we work closely with to ensure that their interview techniques reflect the demands and expectations that these young people will be exposed to when applying for job positions. Each business represented on the day will choose their most successful candidate at interview who will be formally recognised at the closing ceremony.
This programme has been successfully used to support the AQA “Speaking & Listening” element of the English GCSE examination.
